Ten years. I’ve had a Bo for TEN YEARS. It’s amazing. Can you believe it’s been that long? I remember the good old days
of Rolly-Bo and tons of other great stuff. Bo has the cutes so bad she has credit up until she’s at least 15.
I love my Bo who can con the candy keepers into giving her extra “so I can have some for my sister” and she does share that extra with them. I love my Bo who says “I want to try that.” I definitely love my Bo who wants clams and oysters. I love the Bo who says pony-tail like nobody else in the world.
I’m proud of my Bo who is reading on her own now, and loves it. I’m glad I have my goofy dancer Bo who provides her own beautiful musical accompaniment.
I’m a huge fan of watching her grow. I love when she’s a curious student, willing to try to learn anything. I even love when she gets frustrated when stuff is hard or doesn’t work right. Roen reminds me of how I have to beat my own frustrations down and keep trying to succeed, because, just like this beautiful girl of mine, I get mad when my task is more than I want to work on and I get really mad when something just won’t work.
I’m with you, Bo, when you have that math homework that never ends. I’m right next to you when the room is messy and you don’t know where to start cleaning. I’m yours, Bo, when your project won’t come out right.
You’re still a little-bit, Best Bo. You keep up your hard work, but don’t mind so much when you mess up. You still have a lot of growing to do, and your brains will get bigger, your hands will get way better at making things. All of you right now is only a bit of what you will be next year (and every year after). Just like me, you have lots of practice in patience as you go, and everything will work out in time. Until then, make sure you do the things you’re really good at too. Those funny faces and great silly things you invent are wonderful, and you’re the best at them.
Happy Birthday, my Itty Bitty Bo Bear. I love you!
